Liz Hickock reproduces city landscapes in fantasy-inspired and gravity-defying shapes and colors. Each landscape is painstakingly created using Jell-o mix and handcrafted molds. She then enhances the sets with painted backdrops and strategic lighting. Check these out:
As you can see from the photographs, these fine details are incredibly hard to create given the delicate nature of the material. Temperature, movement, time – these all factor into Hickock’s modeling and photography process.
