If I were an artist and could live in this housing complex, I would do it in a heartbeat. This place was jumpin’- it was pretty much a party in every sweet-ass pad, studio, and work space on the first 2 floors. Free wine, beer, shots, cheese, snacks, screenings, dances, and DJ’s thumpin beats indoors and out. It was the shit. All signs point to a very cool community to come @ Castle Braid [114 Troutman, Brooklyn].
works by local artists are displayed in every loft, probably about 30 or so per floor in this 5 floor complex. Think the hottest dorm rooms, and then re-imagine it ON CRACK.
